Birthday Party

We had the twins 1st birthday party on Saturday. They had a blast and got tons of wonderful gifts - thank you to everyone. A great big thank you to Aunt Shelly for making their "little" cakes just for them. I was shocked as they didn't dig in quite like I anticipated them to. Here are some pictures to commemorate the event!

Pediatrician appointment

We went to Dr. Woodford today and the babies are doing great!! Autumn now weighs 19 lbs 2 oz and is 29.7" long. Michael weighs 20 lbs 10 oz and is 31.5" long. He is going to be a tall boy just like his daddy. Of course the shots were not enjoyed by Autumn and Michael but we got through them again. They had a finger poke this time also and did great with that - not one tear. We now get to start on whole milk. YIPEE-that is going to help the checkbook. :) Here a couple of new pictures of them. We have their 1st birthday party tomorrow. I will be sure to take plenty of pictures and post them. I can hardly wait.

Autumn & Michael turn 1 today!!!

Can you believe one year ago today, after 9 weeks of bed rest I gave birth to my two precious children, Autumn & Michael. Thank you so much to Dr. Robertson, Dr. Doherty (for the gift of Autumn & Michael's life), Methodist Hospital and the NICU (for taking such great care of Michael). I am so blessed to have my children in my life and that they are healthy. We have our next pediatrician appointment on Friday so I will post then as to their weights. I can hardly wait!! Anxiously awaiting their arrival. Can you say BIG!!!! My nephew Austin thought he should put a "You are Here" landmark on my road map belly :) Or he wanted to put Wal-Mart on one side of my belly and then Menards on the other side.

Daddy was all smiles awaiting their arrival. I think it's because he wasn't going to have to "wait" on my anymore since I wouldn't be on bed rest. Much to his surprise waiting on me lasted a little longer due to my swollen legs/feet HE HE :)
Out sweet baby girl. Autumn Elizabeth blessed us with her presence at 6:03 p.m. weighing in at 5 lbs. 8 oz and 18 1/4" long. She has been a true gift. She is so precious to us all. Our precious boy was born at 6:10 p.m. Michael Vance weighed 5 lbs 12 oz and was 19 1/2" long. After a week stay in the NICU he was doing great and you would have never known he had difficulties breathing at birth. Everyone treasures Michael.

Big sister wasn't proud of them at all was she? Look at that smile. Heather is such a blessing for us. Autumn just loves her big sissy. You should see how upset they both get when sissy won't let them in her room. Talk about temper tantrum!! Of course big sissy has much cooler toys then Autumn and Michael.

Visit with Santa

Santa came to Syracuse on Saturday, December 6 so we took the kids. Surprisingly enough Autumn & Michael weren't scared a bit. In fact Michael was smiling (almost laughing) and trying to rip Santa's beard off. Santa was good sport about it. Tomorrow is their 1st birthday can you believe it? I will post plenty of pictures and info!!!
